Full-time Post-Graduate Researcher position available at the UCLA Brain Research Institute, working in the laboratory of Prof. William Pardridge on blood-brain barrier drug delivery technology. Work involves animal models (mainly mice and rats, and rarely primates). Preferred experience includes rat brain ischemia model, rat/mouse brain tumor model, rat/mouse Parkinson’s disease model, pharmacokinetics, cell culture experience, working with radioisotopes, and basic biochemistry techniques (including Western blotting, SDS-PAGE, DNA maxipreps, column chromatography). Work will develop new approaches to non-viral gene therapy of the brain, new siRNA delivery approaches, and recombinant fusion protein drug delivery.
Must have PhD, and preferred prior post-doctoral experience.
