How do you establish your career now that you have a freshly minted PhD (or soon will)?
CNSI is hosting a career development seminar series open to postdocs and graduate students. Come prepared with questions for the knowledgeable speakers.

To kick off this workshop series, Professor Rob Candler will share his recent experience acquiring a faculty position at UCLA.

Rob N Candler received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University in 2000. He earned his MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford in 2002 and his PhD in 2006. He was a research engineer from 2006-2007 and then a senior research engineer from 2007-2008 at the Bosch Research and Technology Center in Palo Alto, CA. During this time, he was also a Consulting Assistant Professor at Stanford University, where he taught a graduate level course on Sensors. He joined the faculty at UCLA in 2008, where he is currently an Assistant Professor and directs the UCLA Sensors and Technology Laboratory.
