Committee Redirects and Forum Tweaks (June 15)

Hello SoPSerers and SoPSeresses,

Lookout for these new features on the website:

1) The knowledge base now has a new wiki page called "Officers and Committees" with the names of current officers, committee members (VPs pls fill in) and links to individual committee pages as described next.

2) So that each committee may have its own page stating its mission etc, four placeholders have been created within the Knowledge Base (wiki). These can be found either through the "Officers and Committees" page or by using the following shortcuts:

http://www.postdoc.ucla.edu/advocacy
http://www.postdoc.ucla.edu/bizdev (also ebdc)
http://www.postdoc.ucla.edu/careers
http://www.postdoc.ucla.edu/social

These links automatically forward the browser to the relevant wiki page (a much uglier URL). If the people heading these committees would like the above URL-keyword changed, please followup in this thread. You can edit these documents once logged in (use the Edit button at the bottom right)

3) Forums Reorganized - Since the number of forum topics has grown they are now arranged alphabetically for ease of use. The only exceptions are the "General Discussion" forums which are listed at the top of each section.

As usual, all feedback welcome :-D

Ajay
