It has been a while since our last board meeting and we should probably have another one next week. I think I am free most days at lunch time so please let me know when would be good for you.

Kyle informed Lynn and I about a recent decision to kick postdocs out of University housing after 2 years instead of 5 starting this summer. I have asked him for further information and I think we should email the mailing list to find people who will be affected by this and get them involved.

On a social level we have the pub night this friday and Jacob thinks we should try going back to the BrewCo (especially as he has never been there). If you have any better ideas please let Jacob know asap.

I think we should mobilize on getting a summer BBQ going. We had one with our department at the sunset rec last week and it was surprisingly good. I spoke to the organizer and he said they just booked the site and went to costco with about $500 for burgers, buns, plates, etc... There is a giant grill and a large grassy area with tables and it made for a pleasant evening. Jacob, did you ever get any more people on the social committee? If not then maybe people will be willing to help out for the bbq. An email later in the week to poll for interest might be an idea.

I emailed Kyle about new postdocs so we'll see if we get any new emails.
