Does anybody know I should get my H1 visa first, and then apply green card? or I could apply these two(H1, green card) at the same time? I mean, start applying green card before I get the H1 visa. Thanks.
You can apply at the same time. For postdoc you can apply via NIW (National Interest Waiver) or regular PERM process.
However the application of H1B take less than 3 month normally. The preparation for green card take at least 3 months normally. By the time you are ready to submit your green card application, you should get your H1B approved already.
