Do any of you play, or would be interested in playing, football (soccer)? I’ve not played in a long time, and when I did it was a fairly shocking display, but would like to start up again – especially with the World Cup round the corner! If people are interested in a kick-about we could play on the athletics field. I know a couple of others who might play, but we need a few more for a decent game.

Hello Chippie,

Every Friday there are at least 3 big pick-up groups of grad students, postdocs and other researchers playing on the IM Field (or Drake if the IM is not available) from 5 or 5:30ish till everyone drops of exhaustion (or the lights go out).
