Our translational cancer research laboratory is located in the new Harlyne Norris Research Tower at the USC Health Sciences Campus. Dr. Amir Goldkorn, the Principal Investigator, is an oncologist who completed his training at UCSF, where he sub-specialized in the treatment of genitourinary malignancies and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship with Elizabeth Blackburn in the area of telomerase and cancer. Our new, state-of-the-art lab is interested in experimental therapeutics and will focus on telomerase targeting, nanoparticle drug delivery, and cancer stem cells using tissue culture and mouse models. I am a research faculty of GuangXi Experimental Center of Medical Sciences, GuangXi Medical University, China. I got my PhD degree in September, 2007. My major research is early diagnosis and therapy of nasopharygeal carcinoma (NPC), a kind of very common disease in our province. And I am very interested in your research program and strongly motivated to be a postdoctor and do research in your department.
