Open enrollment for the Postdoctoral Scholar Benefits Plan (PSBP) will be from November 1st through November 21st, 2006, with changes made during open enrollment effective January 1, 2007.
Open Enrollment Transactions
During the open enrollment period, you may go to the PSBP website www.garnett-powers.com/postdoc to make changes by completing an “enrollment/change/cancellation/waiver form” and giving this completed form to your Departmental Administrator as soon as possible but NO LATER THAN Friday, November 17, 2006. Here is a list of the types of changes you can make during Open Enrollment:
o Switch from an HMO medical or dental plan to a PPO plan (or vice versa),
o Add yourself, or eligible family member(s), to a plan previously waived, and
o this year only, enroll in the Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD) plan if you chose not to enroll in the LTD plan when you were first eligible.
If you do not wish to make any changes for 2007, no action is required.
We are pleased to report that the monthly premiums for all of the plans have either stayed the same or decreased. (This is indeed good news at a time when most employers’ plans are experiencing increased costs.) Read more »
