Career Conversation Series: Academic Q&A

What is the best way to write about your experiences, responsibilities, and accomplishments to land your next role? Writing or editing resumes and cover letters can be overwhelming. Join us to learn and practice strategies for organizing resumes, drafting bullet points, and structuring cover letters to create effective job documents. Participants will leave the workshop with resume and cover letter writing resources and tools for editing and strengthening their job documents.

Join us to learn more about careers in community colleges from UCLA PhD alumni who are now faculty members at various Southern California community colleges. We will also be joined by Beth Au (M.A. Asian American Studies), the Director of the California Community Colleges Registry, who will share her insights on how to find open positions.

Moderated by Katie Dixie, Assistant Director of the Center for Education Innovation & Learning in the Sciences (CEILS) at UCLA
